Recommended SuperSpring Suspension Enhancement For A 2019 Ford F-250

Question:

I am considering buying super springs for my truck. I own a 2019 Ford f250 4wd 10,000gvw. For the most part the stock leaf springs are fine except in winter when I carry a pallet of salt , tailgate spreader , and misc. tools. At that point there is approx. 3,000 lbs. payload. The stock springs can handle the weight but at their limitations. Im a little confused with the weight ratings of the super springs. ssa 22 or ssa25 fits the truck. One is rated at 2500 and the other at 3400 lbs. Is this number additional load or total load you can have on the truck? The truck rides rather stiff unloaded so I dont want to overdue it however need to be able to carry 3000 lbs. in truck bed. Let me know your recommendations. Thanks

The capacity of the suspension enhancement you install will not increase or replace the capacity that your vehicle currently has. These enhancements are really just to help support your truck's suspension and reduce sag so to improve your ride quality and reduce sag.

SuperSprings are essentially just adding on a extra leaf to the spring stack to help stiffen your leaf springs and reduce the flex when a heavy load is placed on them. The capacity of the spring can vary from model to model depending on your needs. These springs have rollers on each end that allow the system to loosen up on the spring stack when there isn't a load so that you still maintain a good unloaded ride quality. When under a load the rollers start to spread and lock into place to start placing the load on the SuperSpring as well.

If your truck is handling the 3,000lb weight of your equipment well and not really sagging and you don't plan on hauling anything else heavier then the 2,500lb capacity of the # SSA22 would likely be more than enough to get you where you need to be. That being said you can still go higher with the 3,400lb capacity of the # SSA25 so that you have a little extra support if you ever need it.

I've attached a short review video below Rob made to give you a better look at these in action.
