Replacement Brake Assemblies for Trailer 5k Axles 2003 Cargo Mate 14
Question:
Hello!! I have a 2003 Cargo Mate 14 Trailer that has a 5000lb Axle. I would like to replace the electric brakes. Wasnt sure exactly which brakes I needed to get. They are not hydraulic, just electric I believe. The break pad diameter seems to be about 12, 5 lug. Please see pics. Any help would be great!! ****Also, I am not super familiar with the axle suspension also pictured. I am used to seeing leaf springs. Do you know if there is a way to service these types of axles suspension, when towing it is hard to tell if suspension is working appropriately, so it makes me wonder if the suspension is working correctly. Thanks!!

Thanks for the info on your trailer axle. Based on that we know that the correct replacement assembly set would be the part # AKEBRK-7-SA which is a self adjusting set of 5k to 7k axle trailer brakes.
The axle style you have is a torsion axle. There really isn't a way to service them but I would assume everything is fine with it and not worry about it.
