Correct Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2008 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Bought a 2008 Toyota Highlander Limited. Has a factory trailer hitch no harness was on the hitch, so I purchased the plug with harness. Have no power at any of the pins. So I checked at the factory plug, no power at any of the pins. Checked 2 fuse blocks under the hood, added a fuse to the open trailer spot and checked the fuses under dash all hood, but no power. I am lost? Is there a module ? What am I missing? Please help. Thank you

I wasn't able to locate any order correlating to you so I'm not quite sure what you have. If you have the Replacement Custom Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors # 30955 I can tell you that it's not the correct plug for starters.
Also, even if your fuses are going to the right places, and plugs are plugged in correctly, you'd still need to take your vehicle to the dealer and have the trailer/towing circuit turned on.
For the correct wiring harness, you would need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # 56042 if you had the factory tow package which it sounds like you do, and then you'd need to also add # ETBC7 if you're trying to tow a trailer with brakes.
