Ball Mount Recommendation for 2006 Ford F-150 to Cover Basically All Trailers
Question:
Good evening, I have a 2006 F-150 Crew Cab 4x4 with a 5.4L engine, 18 wheels, 5.5 ft bed, at a 3.73 rear axle ratio. From what I can figure, the max trailer weight I can tow is 8,700 lbs. I dont presently have a trailer or plan on buying one soon, but would like to purchase a good all round ball mount that could work with a variety of trailers. Would you have some suggestions? Thank you for your time.

The B and W Tow N Stow Ball Mount part # BWTS10038B that you referenced would be what I would recommend. This comes with the two more popular ball sizes of 2 inch and 1-7/8 inch which are more common on lighter duty trailers and has ability to do up to a 5 inch drop. If you wanted maximum flexibility though we have a three ball version of this with the part # BWTS10048B which also includes the 2-5/16 inch ball size. This would cover everything and would be a really solid option too.
