Will the Thule Sonic L fit on Factory Roof Rack of a 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE
Question:
To whom it may concern, Will the Thule Sonic Large roof cargo box # TH634B fit on the factory-installed roof rack of a 2013 Toyota RAV4 XLE? What is the maximum spread for the factory roof rack? Also, generally speaking, does the nose of roof cargo boxes tend to open up a bit during highway speeds, letting in rain, moisture, or dirt inside the box? Or is there some sort of reinforcements on the nose to prevent this from happening? Thank you.

Yes, the Thule Pulse Cargo Box part # TH614 that you referenced will fit the factory crossbars of your 2013 Toyota RAV4. I attached a couple demo videos of this box being installed on very similar RAV4's as yours.
I wish we knew what the maximum spread for your factory roof rack would be, but I was unable to find that information.
This cargo box and most other quality cargo boxes do not open at highway speeds to allow in moisture or dirt. These are designed in such a way that they seal the elements out of the box. That doesn't mean the box is waterproof as that means it would have to be able to be submerged and stay dry on the inside.
