Are Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Capable of Supporting 4,000LB Trailer Behind 2014 Tacoma?
Question:
So if I am hauling a loaded trailer that weighs roughly 4000lbs, would these not be able to handle the load as the load-leveling capacity is only 3200 lbs? I know not all of the weight is on the tongue and rear axles of the truck.

Expert Reply:
With the trailer tongue weight only accounting for 10-20% of the total trailer weight the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2407 are more than capable of leveling your 2014 Toyota Tacoma. With a loaded trailer weight of 4,000lbs this will give you a tongue weight range of 400-800lbs. The Firestone springs exceed the most weight you would even be able to load on your rear axle either by placing the weight in the bed or as in your case trailer tongue weight.
The Air Command Compressor System # F2610 will allow you to easily adjust the air pressure inside the air springs directly from your smart phone. This makes the installation easier since you will not have to run any air lines or gauges inside your cab.
