Do I Have To Trim My Bumper In Order To Install The C84BR On A 2023 Ford Maverick
Question:
Hello I have a 2023 Ford Maverick and am looking to install a trailer hitch. you guys have a curt hitch C84BR which i believe is the correct fit. My question is there is a cutout section on the bumper where i think the hitch receiver goes. Do I have to cut this panel? Or can I just take it off entirely?

The Curt # C84BR is indeed the correct hitch for your 2023 Ford Maverick. You are also correct that the cutout section in the bumper is right where the receiver will go. That said, you have 2 options. You can either trim out a small portion of the cutout section. Of you can remove it entirely. It is completely up to you and how you want it to look. We installed this hitch here at our shop in Missouri and we elected to completely remove the cover. You simply have to remove two rivets underneath the bumper.
I have linked our install video below. If you fast forward to around the 6 minute mark you will see mention of this cutout.
