Will etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
Question:
Will the e98858 work for my 2008 Hybrid Highlander SU?

Yes, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98858 will fit your 2008 Highlander Hybrid. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and a bolt-on installation. It also has a matte black powder coat finish and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
If you plan on towing you will also need wiring. If you have the factory tow package you need the # 118449 and if you don't have the factory tow package the # 56042. Both plug into the connection point in your rear cargo area. Once installed, you will have a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.
For a ball mount, check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some installation videos for your reference.
