What PSI Should Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel be Inflated To
Question:
I have a 1993 Coleman Destiny Pop Up that weighs 1075 lbs. My original tires called for 50 lbs psi. Etrailer states to fill part # AM30155 to 100 psi. you are the experts, not me but 100 psi seems like a lot. My original and the ones i purchased from etrailer are 5.70 - 8. Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
With trailer tires you always want to inflate them to the max psi that is listed on the sidewall of the tire. In the case of the # AM30155 that would be 100 psi. This ensures you get the full weight capacity out of the tire and prevent heat build up.
The higher the Load Range of the tire the higher the pressure requirement would end up being generally speaking.
