Roof Rack Recommendation for 2016 GMC Terrain to Use Thule Hullavator

What bars will work with my 898 Thule hullavator. 2016 GMC Terrain. Suggested is 47”. I did not use the recommended bars on my 2009 Subaru Outback, instead went with 58” square which seemed to work better. I cannot see 47” or even 50” working on the GMC without hitting the side of the car.

I checked with Thule and they confirmed their 47 inch Wingbar Evo roof rack part numbers # TH711220, # TH710401 that fits your 2016 GMC Terrain does work with the current version of the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 so it would be the way to go. You aren't able to use longer crossbars most of the time as the attachment channel on the bottom side of the crossbar does not run the full length of the bar.
