Availability Of a Galvanized Trailer Axle For Building a Boat Trailer To Carry a Jon Boat

Question:

Hello, I want to build my own trailer for a jon boat that will weigh less than 600 lbs fully loaded. I cant find any galvanized axles on you web site. I found every thing else, so Im assuming Im missing them somewhere. A 2000 lb axle would be fine, about 5 feet wide. Im hoping to use your 4on4 galvy hubs for this project. Help? Thanks in advance

The CE Smith Trailer Axle # CE33201GA is currently the only galvanized axle we carry. This is an 1,800lb axle with 57-1/2" from hub face to hub face and 46-1/2" from spring center to spring center. The CE Smith U-Bolt Kit # CE23102 is going to be what you need to attach the axle to the leaf springs.

You will pair this with 2 of the Hub Assemblies # AKIHUB-440-2-G-2K. I recommend replacing the caps with the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS as they will allow you to fully fill the hubs with Grease # L11390 using a Grease Gun # L30416. These parts will allow you to use the Kenda 4.80/4.00-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel # AM30010 I see you found.
