Adapter Bar Needed to Carry Girls Bikes with Full Suspension on a Swagman Original Bike Rack
Question:
I recently purchased the Reese Eclipse 4-bike rack, not realizing that the suspension on each of my girls bikes would make it impossible to fit their frames onto the bar, much less into the actual v-racks which are too long to fit the available space on the angled bike frames, especially with the suspension in the way. Now Im stuck with a bike rack and no way to carry their bikes. Is there any kind of adapter that would allow the girlsfoot bikes to be suspended BELOW the v-racks, securely?

Yes, there is an adapter that is used for the exact purpose of carrying alternative frame bikes. I recommend using the Swagman Easy Out Adapter Bar # 64005.
This bike adapter bar will connect between the seat post and the handle bars, providing a horizontal cross-tube to secure the bikes in the rack. This will allow your girls bikes with full suspension, to mount in the your newly purchased Pro-Series Eclipse Bike Rack. Using this adapter bar will place the suspension below the mounting cross-tube, so there will not be any interference. I have included a photo of a similar style bike using an adapter bar on this bike rack for your reference.
I have included a couple of videos showing these products for your reference.
