How to Add 7-Way to 2008 Volkswagen Touareg

Hi, i want to install this wiring kit for my 2008 touareg, but with only 4 way conector reverse lights for the trailer will not work. Whats the best way to add reverse wiring signal to this 4 way wiring kit ? Trailer has a standar 7 way conector wired in

Good question, and what you'll need to do with your 2008 VW Touareg is add a 7-way (which includes the reverse wire) to connect to your trailer's 7-way. So you'll add the 4-way and then plug that into the 7-way, which means you'll need the following parts:

- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118509

- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7

The 7-way comes with the # ETBC7, and as you can see by the diagram I added for you, the 7-way will use the yellow wire to connect to reverse lights and this will allow you to plug in your trailer's 7-way.
