Highest Rated Trailer Hub & Drum With L68149 Inner Bearing

Question:

I have the older dexter axles with mobile home style wheels on my equipment trailer. They have the 1.25 outter diam. and the 1.378 inner on the spindles. The trailer is rated for 10k will the 4.4k 10inch drums and and brake kit be adequate enough? Or do u have a 12inch drum that has the 1.378 inner

Expert Reply:

The 1.378" measurement on your spindle means your inner bearing is L68149, and the highest rated hub and drum with that inner bearing and the 1.25" outer bearing LM67048 is indeed the 4,400 lb 10 inch Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-407-5UC3-EZ.

If you current axle is a 4,400 lb axle then you can use these hubs (the axle rating should be on a sticker or stamp somewhere on the axle), otherwise you'd have to replace your axle. I have added a link below to a video showing you what measurements are needed to replace your axle (should you have to) as well as our selection of axles.
