Recommended Hubs And Brakes For A 2016 Keystone Cougar Xlite 28RLS
Question:
I have a 2016 Keystone cougar xlite 28RLS. I had the left rear hub self destruct on me. it is a alco 4400 lb axle. the inner bearing races saved the axle but i can not find a replacement hub and break assembly. can you help?

I can certainly point you in the right direction. For an electric bake assembly for your 2016 Keystone Cougar with a 4.4K axle I recommend the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # K23-478-479. This comes with both a right and left hand side assembly. It is the 10" x 2-1/4" brake shoes, which is basically standard for a 4.4K axle.
For a hub/drum I recommend the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-407-5UC3-EZ. This hub is made for a 4.4K axle and uses the Inner bearing # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter), and the Outer bearing # LM67048 (1.25" inner diameter). These bearing sizes are fairly standard for the 4.4K axle. It is always preferred to have you verify your bearing number/sizes prior to ordering just to be sure. As of right now (August 2023), this is the only hub we carry for a 4.4K axle.
