Best Way to Get Rid of Bouncing and Porpoising Fifth Wheel Trailer When Towing

Question:

I have 2011 32 fifth wheel toy hauler with a GVWR of 14,000 lbs and dual axels. For some reason the axles are only rated for 6,000 lbs. During towing with my 3500 Ram with OEM air suspension I notice a lot of rolling of the camper and bouncing in the truck requiring frequent steering adjustment. Most noticable when it is windy and when semis pass me. I would like to upgrade the suspension on the trailer to improve the towing experience and stability. I use an Anderson Ultimate hitch for connecting to the camper. What would you recommend to improve the towing experience and remove the bouncing and sway? Note, I had contacted Timbren and they suggested their TRA1032. The axel is below the leaf springs and there is 3.5 to 4.0 gap between spring and frame.

What you want is the Roadmaster Comfort Ride kit part # RM-2460-2570. This is an upgraded suspension system that comes with shocks to dampen the movement of the trailer which makes a huge difference in getting rid of the bouncing, chucking, and porpoising that you described. This also comes with 7k axle leaf springs so you'll get additional suspension support as well.

There isn't another option out there that would work as well to fix the problems you mentioned.
