Replacement For Reese Weight Distribution Hitch With 550 lb Spring Bars
Question:
Hi, I bought a used travel trailer, and the previous owner insisted on keeping the Reese head, but he gave me the rest of the weight distribution parts. Ive attached photos of the spring bars. Can you tell me which head I would need for this? I think what I have is similar to this system: RP66087 Thanks

Appreciate the photo, and what you have are old Reese 550 lb spring bars that have been obsolete for some time, as has the entire hitch. So just the head isn't available, and you can't get a different one from Reese because you can't mix and match parts from systems as they won't work together. So you'll have to get a new system altogether, and for a good replacement use the following:
- Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution # RE34FR
The # RE34FR has bars rated for up to 600 lbs and it even has sway control so it's an upgrade, and really the best overall value you can get for a weight distribution hitch in this weight capacity.
