Question:

Can you recommend a hard side cargo box thet will fit the factory roof rack. I would like one that will not require me to remove the antena.

When the cargo box manufacturers like Thule and Yakima determine fits of their cargo boxes, they determine if the box will interfere with the ability of the rear cargo hatch to fully open. This is really the only fit parameter they worry about, not antenna interference. In other words, I will be able to tell or show you how to determine if a given box will provide hatch clearance, but unfortunately nothing specific about the clearance at the antenna.

I looked up photos of the 2013 Edge OE rack online, and saw that the roof rack is centered on the rear of the vehicle. This makes antenna interference much less likely. Couple this with the fact that the box is raised several inches above the level of the roof, and it becomes less likely that the box will interfere. When we did test fits, we did so using racks designed for a bare roof, which are placed closer to the front of the vehicle and do require removal of the antenna.

Among the Thule boxes, many of their boxes are a fit (which means that they allow the rear hatch to be fully opened). This includes the Force XT Sport, part # TH6356B, and the Pulse Medium, part # TH614 . Yakima does not determine vehicle-by-vehicle fits, but you can take a measurement to determine fit, as shown in the chart I provided. Measure from the center of the front crossbar rearward to the seam between the hatch and the roof. This distance will determine which box will fit. Once again, this will only give you rear hatch clearance, not clearance at the antenna near the front edge of the roof.
