SumoSprings or Timbrens? Which is Better for a 2023 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
If I want to try to balance the weight-carrying capacity of my 23 4Runner SR5 Limited so I dont squat or sag but can still use them for off-road, which ones would be best for that between the Timbrens or SumoSprings?

Expert Reply:
Timbrens would be horrible when you are off-roading. It would feel like you were constantly bottoming out your suspension. Your kidneys would hate you. I could not more strongly recommend SumoSprings for your 2023 Toyota 4Runner.
The best option is going to be the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs item # SS68DR. Your 4Runner's maximum tongue weight is well under these springs 1,400 lbs capacity. SumoSprings have progressive load control which means the more weight put on them the more they engage. If you're just driving around you won't notice them.
I have linked a review video below so you can see the functions of these springs.
