Furrion LED Marker Light RV Side Cameras Are Being Overridden by the Brake Signal

Question:

How are the side cameras supposed to be triggered on a 5th wheel when the left blinker/brake lights are the same pin on the 7way? When applying the brakes it is overriding the left camera. Any ideas?

More than likely the LED Marker Light RV Side Cameras # FCE48TASL are wired incorrectly. If wired correctly there should be no way for the brakes to activate the cameras unless they do not have power from the correct source and only receive power when the brakes are pressed.

The cameras should be tied into either the running light circuit (most common) or the reverse circuit. Realistically you should only be using 3 wires for the installation. The brown and red wire get tied together and then attached to the running light power wire coming from your old light. The black wire then gets tied into the ground wire coming from your old light. The yellow wire will just get capped off, this is because most 5th wheels do not have the appropriate wire to use this function. This is likely what is happening with your 5th wheel.

So, you will just want to double check your wiring and ensure it is done in that manner.
