Can the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier Be Inverted and Used in a Front Hitch on a 1-Ton Truck

Can this be mounted on a frame-mounted front hitch on a one-ton truck? Can you use assemble it in such a way that the tray is lower than the hitch instead of higher?

Yes, the 17x50 Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier # S68FR can be used in the front hitch of your one-ton truck.
I do not see a reason why you could not use the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier # S68FR with the shank of the carrier flipped over. The shank has holes in the side where the bolt feeds through. Flipping the shank over would still allow the holes on the side to be accessible, but it would invert the carrier to then sit lower than the hitch.
While I believe this will work, it was not designed or tested in that manor and could potentially not work well in that orientation. It could also potentially lead to the warranty being voided if an issue does arise because it is not being used as intended. So while it will likely work, it would be at your own risk.
