Do Factory Mirrors on 2003 E-350 Have Square or Round Power Plug
Question:
I have an 2003 E350 ford van I was told that in order to get the correct plug end for the plain power adjusted mirror that you need the vin. Number. I ordered doorman mirrors looks like they will fit but it has a round plug for power. I’ve watched a bunch of videos on replacing the mirrors on a 2003 and they had a square plug for the power mirror. Please help . I haven’t pulled the old mirror yet. I hope you can tell me what is the correct power plug in square or round ? Thank you for any help

I'm guessing whoever it was asked for your VIN to try to determine if you have the standard E-350 or the Super Duty which is the extended model. It looks like the standard, or Econoline/Club Wagon, uses the square plug you have seen like what is found on the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirror # KS61200F and # KS61199F.
As far as I can tell, the Super Duty uses the round plug which is what Dorman shows for that model. It may be a hassle, but honestly since you plan on replacing them I would go ahead and pull one of the mirrors and check the connection just to verify.
