Bike Rack Recommendation for 2008 Toyota RAV4 with 2" Hitch Receiver
Question:
Hi, my wife and I are looking for a 2 Bike rack the hitch measures 2” that will fit her 2008 Toyota Rav 4. I plugged that info into your site, but the vehicle it shows is not a Rav 4. The hatch door is a SWING door, opening from left to right not from bottom to up . We need a rack that will lay flat w/o the bikes on, so that the door can open completely. We saw a Saris in a Trek store several years ago, but unfortunately did not buy. We have been putting both bikes on each other in the back of her Rav……not ideal. Hopefully you have some recommendations. Thank you.

The 2-bike rack I recommend for the 2" hitch receiver on your 2008 Toyota RAV4 is the Kuat Transfer:

I like this rack because it has a U-Shaped frame so it's easier to load/unload bikes, it secures bikes by the wheel so it's compatible with just about any bike style that doesn't have a fender, and then this also has a tilting feature so you can gain access to the rear hatch on your RAV4 without having to unload your bikes.
