Recommended Wet Bolt Kit for 2005 Pilgrim International 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

Suspension Wet bolt to replace dry bolts 5200/6000 lb axles under 2005 pilgrim 5th wheel. Bolt thread is .4.....so I assume 1/2 Wet bolt to replace. Seems small diameter to me plus didnt see any 1/2 wet bolts ont he site. Any idea if the bolts are a shoulder type bolt? Could possibly be 9/16 or maybe larger Diameter? Not sure what is standard. Thanks

The shackle bolts are usually either 9/16" diameter or 9/16" diameter with a step down to 7/16". That said, if you're just measuring with a ruler or tape measure then that's your problem as a 9/16" bolt doesn't measure 9/16". I don't really think you need to measure the bolt diameter anyway, they are standardized. I would however recommend measuring the length of the shackle straps from the center of each hole, if they are 2-1/4" then go with the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit part # MR46ZR or if they are 3-1/8" then go with the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers part # MR76ZR. These are complete kits that come with not only wet bolts but also upgraded shackle straps and bronze bushings. The shackle straps are honestly the biggest improvement as the thinner ones if not maintained properly can fail quite easily.
