Hitch/Pin Box Option For Upgrading To a 5TH Wheel Camper With Rhino Pin Box and Short Bed Pickup

Question:

I have a 2018 Ford 250,6-3/4’ bed and currently have a 16,000 pound Reese receiver in truck bed and a sidewinder airborne on my 2016 cougar fifth wheel. I just bought a 2022 vengeance/rogue toy hauler, 13,000 pounds dry weight with a rhino pin box. Assuming I need to go with either another sidewinder or auto slide system, because of my 6’9” bed? If I go with the auto slide, would have to use a different bed rail system than my current Reese rails? What sidewinder would I need to replace the Rhino king pin SN-S008946634-RPO-0008383765. Second question is I would be able to go up and pick my new 2022 vengeance camper up with my current Reese receiver-? I’d only be traveling 90 miles, but would like to get it back here so I can switch out the pin box myself. I have attached pictures of my current Reese receiver in pin box on my 2016 fifth wheel and Rhino pin box that is on the new 2022 toyhauler I just bought. Any chance my current Reese sidewinder on 2016 5th wheel, in picture would be able to replace Rhino king pin on 2022.

You currently have 2 options since your current Airborne Sidewinder pin box is not going to fit your new 2022 Vengeance Rogue toy hauler. We do have the new Sidewinder # RP34FR which has added the new bolt pattern for the Lippert Rhino pin box.

Personally I recommend switching to the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM8550034 with the Locking Plate # DM76FR. This will fit most 12" wide pin boxes without a locking plate but for unique pin box like your Rhino you will need the plate. This way if you upgrade again in the future you don't risk another style pin box and having to get another different Sidewinder. This will fit into your ISR bed rails which appears to be what your current Reese 5th wheel hitch uses.
