No Power to Trailer Connector Using Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness on 2016 Tacoma

Is it possible that the 22117 wiring harness doesnt work on 2016 tacomas without the factory tow package? I installed mine yesterday l, quadruple checked all connections and there is no power going to the 7/4. Not sure what to do.

The Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter part # 22117 is specifically designed for a 2016 Toyota Tacoma without the factory tow package. If you're having issues with no signal going to the connector, I recommend checking the red power wire that runs from the converter box to the battery. I also recommend checking the tail light signals going into and leaving the converter box so you can ensure they are passing through. In order to do all of this you'll need a circuit tester.
