Can Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire Replace 255/85-16

My fifth wheel 39 ft fusion came with st255/85/16 tires. The provider g rated is smaller. Is that an issue?. Also do I need metal valve stems? Will factory aluminum wheels hold the110psi ok. What do they mean by they are hard to install? Thank you

While the Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G # TTWPRG235R16 that you referenced might be smaller than what you have currently it would still fit and work great. You don't have to use metal valve stems with this tire but they aren't' a bad idea at all like with the part # AM20906. These also would easily hold 110 psi as well.

Currently Goodyear is one of the few trailer tire manufacturer that makes tires in the USA and the only one that we carry. Unfortunately they do not currently offer a tire size of 235/80-16.
