Best Trailer Tire in ST235/85R16 For Hot Climate Driving 70 MPH

Question:

I have a 2015 Heartland Cyclone 4114 Toyhauler that is regularly loaded to about 18,500 lbs. The triple axles are Dexter 7ks so limitations are 21,000 for the rig. The factory TowMax PowerKings are 235/80r16 and ive had two blowouts in the 2 years of owning it. Not more than 3,000 miles on the OEM tires and less than 2 year old. Cold tire pressure is checked before each trip and set to the 80psi max. It is usually on a hot 110 degree Las Vegas day towing about 70 mph when I experience the blow outs. I want to replace all 7 tires spare is the 7th with the very best tire for my application. I assume my 16inch rim will handle the 235/85r16 as opposed to the factory 80r on there now?? Being a toyhauler and the nature of where we use it, we tow the trailer on some pretty rugged dirt roads. So I need the best tire for all around use but can withstand the extreme temperatures of the Southwest roads at 70mph. Should I be ok with the AM10501 or should I really be looking at the TTWPRG235R16?

Since you are wanting to exceed the speed rating of most trailer tires (65 mph) I would highly recommend you go with the part # TTWPRG235R16. The 81 mph speed rating will help quite a bit. You currently are exceeding the speed rating of your tires in an already super hot climate. So your tires are getting way too hot and failing. The higher speed rating of the Taskmaster will allow you a much better chance of heat building up.

This tire kept at it's max PSI rating of 110 psi is going to be your absolute best option.
