Replacement AC Options For A 2015 Jayco Pinnacle 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
Hi, we have a package unit, I think, 2015 Jayco pinnacle 5th wheel. The living room air conditioner/heating unit is beyond repairwe are told by rv repair man. What can we replace this with? Name, model number and where we can order from, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you,

If you're just wanting to replace the rooftop unit and still maintain use of the air distribution box then the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup # ACDOM150 would be a great option. The only thing you'll need to check is whether or not your Dometic system has a 6-pin or 9-pin connector (pictured below). This will be on the wire harness that hangs down from the rooftop unit and plugs into the controller.
If your unit has a 9-pin connector you'll need an adapter # ACCOLKIT. In the video I've attached below I'll show you the controller and wire harness I'm referring to and you'll see the controller mounted to the rooftop unit. The controller can be mounted up in the rooftop unit or between it and the air distribution box. If it's mounted in the rooftop unit you'll need to remove it and mount it to the new unit or between it and the air distribution box.
If you're wanting to completely replace the entire system then I recommend the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR24FJ since you would have to replace both the living room and bedroom system in order to have them properly communicate with the controller, unless you could sever the connection between the two systems and then you could replace just the living room with the # FR55PV and have a separate thermostat for it in the living room.
