Comparing SumoSprings and Air Bags for a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500
Question:
Hello I have a 2022 gmc 3500 single wheel. I’ve been looking into either airbags or the sumosprings helper and was wanting to know which you would recommend. I pull a 15,000lb fifth wheel camper and truck handles it fine just wanting to keep some of the balance out of it while pulling. I’ve owed airbags in the pass on a 3/4 Ton truck and been hearing a lot about the sumosprings

I really like SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs like part # SSR-203-40-2 for a 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 but I'm afraid that if you have already had air bags, you'll be disappointed with anything else as they are the best option out there for suspension support. The reason for this is because with air bags, you can adjust the pressure for your exact load so you always get the best mix of comfort and support. The SumoSprings like air bag will also provide great support but you can't adjust them, so odds are they will always be a bit too stiff or a bit too soft for your exact load whereas with air bags, you can dial in the exact firmness/softness. Therefore, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2613.
