Correct SumoSprings for 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 Towing 5th Wheel

Question:

Hi, I have a 2021 Silverado 2500hd with max payload of 3065. I pull a fifth wheel with 2200lbs of pin weight. I have been looking at adding the Sumosprings to enhance my suspension, but having difficulty determining which model would be best for my situation. I see model SSR-203-40-2 with has a 3000lbs capacity and as well SSR-207-47 which has a 1500lbs capacity. My goal is to simply have the truck be level and keep factory ride quality. I dont have 3000lbs of pin weight in the truck bed, but with passengers and tools, I am near max of vehicle payload capacity. Which model would you recommend? Initially I was leaning towards 1500lbs, but then thought they might not be effective enough. Then was looking at the 3000lbs, but since I dont have that much weight in bed, did not know if that would maybe cause the truck to be too high and not level because I would not be fully engaged at 3000lbs capacity, and also maybe affect ride quality. I appreciate you help with my inquiry. Thanks.

I recommend going with the higher rated SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-203-40-2 for a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 towing a fifth wheel trailer. The higher rated set would provide the best support. It will not raise the truck. The pin weight from a fifth wheel with added gear would put you right in the sweet spot for the system.
