Solution For Ladder on 2017 Ford Transit T350 With Pioneer Platform Rack and 8'4" Tall Roof
Question:
Hi, I am considering the Pioneer Platform 100x62 for my mid height roof Transit Van. The trouble is the folding ladder is only 91 inches tall when the roof of the van is 8 foot four inches tall. Is there another product ladder that works or another rack. The ladder is an absolute must have or it just wont work. All best

The only option for a ladder that will attach to the # RR63QX is the # RRRAFL-RUFLB. If you really want to use this ladder you could place some kind of block underneath to make up the difference since it has a fixed point at the top. Realistically that isn't the best idea, especially since you need to gain an additional 8-1/2" and I doubt you will always be on a level surface.
Instead, you may want to consider a telescoping ladder like the # TE37FR. This has a compact design measuring 30-1/2" tall when collapsed and 30-1/2" wide. Fully extended it is 10' tall so you could easily reach the roof. Although there are no specific mounting brackets, you could still store this on the rack or inside the vehicle.
