Troubleshooting Bleeding the Brakes After Installing Demco Surge Brake Actuator

Question:

I am attempting to bleed the brakes on my new Demco actuator surge brake coupler. With the master cylinder full of fluid, I removed the black plastic cover from above the hitch and pumped the plate to push fluid through the new brake line. When we werent seeing fluid coming from bleeder after prolonged pumping, I disconnected the brake line before the Tee. I submerged the brake line in a half full of fluid water bottle. As we continued to pump the surge brake plate, we would only occassionally see an air bubble coming from the line. This continued for dozens and dozens of pumps without the fluid level rising in the bottle. Any suggestions on what we are doing wrong? Thank you

It sounds like you may have missed a few steps when attempting to bleed the brakes with your new Demco actuator, like part # DM72VR. I'm attaching a link to the instructions on bleeding the brakes for you to reference.

Let me know if you've followed all of these steps and I can further assist you if you're still having issues.
