Recommended Replacement for Single Lip Grease Seal 16667

Question:

I have four odd-duck hubs each with the following bearing info taken directly from the parts themselves: Inner LM67048 Outer LM11949 Seal 16667 This is on an old Shoreline boat trailer now holding a 1966 Chris Craft fiberglass inboard. Best guess of trailer manufacture is circa 1975. From a hub you have discontinued on etrailer, I believe this hub was standard for Shoreline but pretty odd for everyone else. 2000 lb per axle rating still labelled on the trailer, tandem axles. Good condition for age frame galvanizing great condition. I have no way to measure anything to thousandths of an inch. From the above info, can you say with reasonable certainty what double lip seal is available that would work to replace the single lip 11167 seal? Thank you.

The Double Lip Grease Seal part # 168233 will be a replacement for the Single Lip Grease Seal 16667. The extra lip won't affect fit, it will just do a better job of keeping grease in and water/debris out. They both have the same inner diameter at 1.688" but the outer diameters are slightly different, 2.328" versus 2.332". Therefore, it might be a bit harder to seat the seal into the hub since it it's slightly larger at .004" but there won't be any issues with this.
