I needed a dimension for the stainless steel economy side door lock and contacted your live chat. The reply I got was a redirect back to the same picture that is posted on your internet listing for this product. I need to know the width of the hinge base plate so that I can ensure that I have enough space to mount it. Can you provide that dimension? The chat person said that that was the only dimensions he/she had

The width of the mounting brackets that comes with the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch for Fold Down Trailer Gate or Side Door # PLR3057-SS is 2-1/16" overall but only about 1-5/16" of the bracket will actually be touching the mounting surface.

You can use the Side Door Bar Lock Assembly part #3057-55 in conjunction with the latch door lock you have now with not problem. My dad has a trailer that has both and it works well together and can add a second layer of theft deterrence.
