For a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500LD - Z71 you would need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # 199-6 for the baseplate. (Note: Front suspension must use torsion bar.) I'll run through the rest of the components needed to flat tow your Sierra just to ensure you have everything.

For the tow bar bar I recommend the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e74ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables already included so you won't need to purchase them separately and also has some built in adjustability to keep it level between your motorhome and truck without having to also purchase a high/low adapter. It has a 6k capacity so if you plan on loading up the bed you may want to get the # e84ZR instead for the extra capacity.

For the wiring I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This kit will wire into your tail lights for a one-time installation to keep you street legal.

For the braking system I recommend the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system comes with a remote that will allow you to see when the brakes are being activated in your Sierra and adjust the brake settings from the driver seat of your motorhome. It also includes the vehicle side charge line kit to keep your Sierra's battery charged while you tow.

If you have any other questions please let me know and I can get you set up and ready to flat tow.
