If you're flat towing your 2022 GMC Canyon then you'll want to ensure that your tow bar is level between the Canyon and the motorhome. You'll have a 3" "safe zone" from level with a motorhome-mounted tow bar (pictured below). If you fall outside of the 3" safe zone then you'll need to measure the hitch height and baseplate height.

You'll measure from the center of the motorhome trailer hitch to the ground for the hitch height and from the ground to the center of the baseplate tabs for the baseplate height. I've attached a help article below that goes over how to do this.

This can obviously be a be a challenge to get if the baseplate hasn't been installed yet, but luckily Roadmaster has a guide that states if your ride height is still factory and you have a 255/55R20 tire size then the baseplate center point should be 14-3/4".

Once you have the two measurements you can then get a specific rise/drop adapter or go with a stacked receiver, like # 325-GH-514, so that you can tow a bike rack or cargo carrier as well.

I recommend also checking out the etrailer SD tow bars as they come with an adjustable head that tilts up or down 3" and a shank with a built-in 1-1/2" rise or drop for additional adjustability. You'll just want to find the correct one for the baseplate brand you choose.

Fits:

Demco or etrailer # e34ZR
Blue Ox # e47ZR
Roadmaster Direct Connect # e44ZR
Roadmaster Crossbar # e74ZR
