Loose/Bad Connection Between Trailer Connector and Vehicle 7/4-Way Socket
Question:
My vehicle’s 2 trailer lighting receptacles are 7 pin round and 4-pin straight. I use dielectric grease, but sometimes do not achieve good electrical contact. Do you sell tiny wire brushes that i could use to clean the female electrical contacts?

I do have an option for you but we don't have any specific tools to clean a trailer connector. That said, if you are getting intermittent signals this can be caused by either corrosion or worn terminals. If you don't see any corrosion then it's most likely the latter and you'd be best off to just replace the connector either on the vehicle or trailer. If you can send me a photo of either I'd be able to see about getting you the correct replacements but it sounds like you might need the Curt OEM Replacement Dual-Output 7-Way and 4-Way Connector part # C42JR which is a direct plug and play swap. If the issue is on the trailer side, I recommend the Junction Box # 3375601101 and 7-Way Connector # H20046.
