How To Install The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger

So my setup currently is 4 12-volt 105amp lithium batteries. I have a 30amp toyhauler, with a built in generator and currently running one 190watt solar panel with the go power system and have a 1500watt inverter all go power. Other than the batteries, came already installed with new toyhauler. My question is: if I choose to upgrade to this inverter would I still keep my current transfer switch that s between shore power and generator. The line out of the transfer switch going to fuse box will go to this inverter now and inverter to 120ac side. The 12v coming in from the batteries to the 12v side of the fuse box will now go to the inverter as well? Giving option to remove the fuse boxes inverter and converter now? Also my fuse box is install on side wall under my dometic fridge. Can this be installed in that space or does it need a better ventilated area?

There's going to be two ways to wire your Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34275013 but the transfer switch you have between the shore power and generator power is going to stay how it currently is. The internal transfer switch is simply to swap between shore/generator power and inverter/battery power.

Option 1 will have you run the line from that transfer switch to the main panel and from there to the inverter. Option 2 will have you run that line from the transfer switch to the inverter and then to the main panel. I recommend option 2 since it won't require you to install a sub panel and move over the breakers that you want powered by the inverter. That said, you'll have to be careful with your wattage draw to not overload the inverter.

The converter inside of this unit is only designed to charge the battery bank and is not going to power the DC distribution panel. This means you'll run the DC side directly to the battery with an in-line fuse/circuit breaker on the positive cable. You can use their fuse kit # 342GPDCKIT5 or just a simple 100 amp circuit breaker # 337CB100PB for this. The wiring diagram makes this a bit unclear showing a "DC Panel" in it. The DC fuse panel will need a separate line ran to it directly from the battery to power it.

You'll need to unhook your current converter since this will take over charging the battery. If you have another inverter already in place that will also need to be removed.

This unit does need to be installed close to the battery bank but also shouldn't be stored directly next to it to avoid any chance of a fire. A lot of the installs I've seen with this part the trailer luckily had a cargo bay next to the bay with the battery bank so it wasn't a huge deal to run the wires between them. You will want to have some sort of ventilation to prevent overheating. I cut out a hole in the back of the cargo bay and put in a vent like # AVT2 when I installed a similar inverter. You'll definitely want to remove anything flammable from the cargo bay as well.

Installs like this can be very confusing and may require a bit of trial and error until you find the exact way it's going to work with your specific RV. If you run into any more roadblocks or need any other help then please let me know and I can help walk you through it.
