Parts Needed To Go From a 3-Wire to a 2-Wire On a RV Motorhome With a 7-Way Installed

Question:

I have a motorhome with separate brake and turn signal lights. It has a 7 blade trailer plug in. My utility trailer has combined turn and brake lights. Do you have a converter that plugs into the plug in on the motorhome and converts it from separate to combined lighting?

As your motorhome already has a 7-Way # PK11898 it will likely already have a converter on the motorhome. I have included a image of the pinout on a 7-way so you can verify if the tail lights are already converted. A Test Light # PTW2993 can be used to test the wiring.

If you determine the lights are still separated I recommend installing the Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59496 before the 7-way. This will get you to a standard 7-way wiring so you will not have issues with other trailers. There currently is not an in line adapter you can use with a converter as the 7-way blade while having different wiring colors is only designed to be wired with the functions in one way.
