In regards to troubleshooting your Solera Power Awning, the first thing you'd want to do is check your battery voltage. It should be at least 12 volts. If the voltage is good, check for objections in the arms which could be anything from a bent pitch arm to a foreign obstruction. If this checks out good as well you'll turn your attention to the motor. If you have a multimeter you'll need to test the power wire on the motor, if you get at least 12 volts here then it's likely the motor that needs replaced. The correct replacement for this is the Solera Power Awning Replacement Motor part # LC266149 for 2015 or prior and part # LC373566 for post 2015. Please note, there could still very well be a power issue even though the awning extends but doesn't retract.

I have also attached for you below instructions for manually closing the awning.

In the event of power loss or motor failure, the awning can be extended or retracted manually. Perform the following procedure to manually extend or retract the awning. Note: This procedure may also be performed to extend or retract the awning in the event of dry camping or camping without a battery.

1. Remove the rubber grommet from the drive head assembly, exposing the manual override nut on the motor. Note: The drive head assembly is always located on the right side of the awning as it is viewed from outside of the unit.
2. Using a 7/16" socket and cordless power drill, spin the manual override nut clockwise to extend or counterclockwise to retract the awning.
3. When the awning is completely extended or retracted, remove socket or drive device and replace the
rubber grommet in the drive head assembly.
