How is Reverse Light Circuit Added to 4-Way to 7-Way Adapter
Question:
Installing a Hopkins 7 way connector on a 2007 Nissan Frontier. Already had a 4 way on it , so got the 7 way that has a 4 way to plug into existing plug. It doesnt have a plug to plug into the factory harness though. My problem is no reverse signal. But i think i found it in the 6 way plug? What are my options to get this working right. Also, what two wires are in the other factory plug? Thanks for your assistance

If you are using a 4-way to 7-way adapter like the # 37185 the standard way to add the reverse light circuit would be to tap into the power wire for the reverse lights on the vehicle. If you find it in a different trailer wiring harness that would be fine as well.
The other two circuits are for brake output for if the trailer had brakes (which would require a brake controller install in the vehicle like # 90885) and 12 volt accessory which is normally used charging a trailer battery or running interior lights in the trailer.
