Recommended Air Springs For A 2004 Ford F-250 With A Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I have a 2004 Ford f250 4x4 I would like to put an air bag suspension on. It has a gooseneck hitch but I dont know the brand. The gooseneck ball is removable but not a turnover like a BandW might be a Reese?. I can send pictures of my truck so you can see the gooseneck mount. Which product do I need to fit my truck?

There are quite a few air spring options available for a 2004 Ford F-250 but all come with some sort of stipulation or will not work with an in-bed hitch at all. Out of the available options the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL88390 seems to be the only clear cut fit since it has the least amount of restrictions.

It's not going to be compatible with a B&W or Reese fifth wheel hitch so I recommend checking out the instructions for the # AL88390, which I've attached below, to ensure fitment with your gooseneck hitch. These springs will sit right next to the spring stack on your axle.

I also recommend installing an on-board compressor, like the # AL25980, to adjust your psi levels on the go, instead of lugging around a compressor or having to stop at a gas station. The compact design will make installation easy peasy. It will also come with a wireless remote instead of a bulky gauge that requires drilling into your dash. Your smartphone can also be used to monitor and control the psi levels in your air springs as well.
