Which is the Best Hitch Curt or etrailer for a 2023 Kia Sportage
Question:
Which is the better hitch for my 2023 Kia Sportage? I see you have both a curt and an etrailer one that are similar.

Both the Curt item # C94WR and the etrailer item # e38KR are confirmed to fit the 2023 Kia Sportage. These hitches are identical with the exception that the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish that offers superior rust protection. Both hitches are made in the USA.
The best hitch for your Kia is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e38KR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Sportage with included hardware. They both have the same installation method and towing capacity but this one will look better when installed. The matte paint finish blends in better beneath your Sportage's rear trim compared to the glossy finish on the Curt.
I really like the etrailer hitch because it installs behind your rear bumper and the crossbar is completely hidden. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 525 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch can not be used with weight distribution systems.
I have linked a picture below so you can see what this hitch looks like when installed.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # TK32VR and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
To attach this harness to your hitch, to protect it from being damaged, I recommend the Tow Ready Mounting Bracket item # 18144.
