I have some information that may help, however, replacement gears for the landing gear legs on your 2000 Cameo fifth wheel trailer may be difficult to find. Typically, landing gear manufacturers do not stamp their name or part number on their landing gear legs. Since most landing gear manufacturers do not make their parts interchangeable between one another, the only way to locate the correct replacement gears is by knowing the manufacturer and part number of the landing gear which involves contacting the trailer manufacturer.
In your case, Carriage Inc., the manufacturer of your Cameo fifth wheel trailer, went out of business in 2011, making that information near impossible to find. Redwood RV acquired a large portion of Carriage Inc, however they could not provide me with any information on Carriage trailers when I called them.
If the main screw or internal gears are stripped, then your best option would be to replace the landing gear legs all together. Some good news is most landing gear manufacturers follow an industry standard mounting style, so almost any landing gear set should fit in place of your old landing gear legs. You can verify this by measuring the distance between the mounting clamps that are welded to the trailer frame. You should have 17-1/2 inches from the bottom of the top frame clamp to the top of the bottom frame clamp (see photo).
