Recommended OEM Fifth Wheel Hitch For A 2023 Ford F-450 With Minimal Trimming Of Bed Liner
Question:
Trying to decide between B&W and Reese for 24k lb 5th wheel hitch for puck systems but I also have bedrug in place and don't want to have to cut a bunch of it off to get the pucks to sit. Which will require the least amount of trimming?

The pucks hopefully shouldn't interfere with the bed liner but in the event that they do you would only need to trim just around the puck receivers for the feet to sink in enough to turn the locking handles. Of the two the B&W Companion # BWRVK3305 has the widest base so it would require more trimming.
The Reese M5 # RP30922 has smaller feet so it would require less trimming. It also has a slightly higher capacity at 27K versus the # BWRVK3305 at 25K. If you're solely basing the decision on the least amount of trimming then the # RP30922 is going to be your best bet.
