Recommended Suspension Enhancement For A 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 Z71 Pulling A 5th Wheel
Question:
I have a 2023 Duramax 2500HD Crew cab LTZ Z71 with standard bed and experience too much sag when towing my 5th wheel. I was wondering what you would suggest I do to upgrade my suspension.

The best option to fix the sag you're experiencing when towing a 5th wheel with your Silverado is going to be adding air springs like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2613. These air springs will allow you to adjust the psi level in the bags to help level out your ride and get you back to factory ride height.
Firestone does state that Lift Spacers 2" Spacers - Qty 2 # F2366 are typically needed for the Z71 models, but this really depends on if you have the factory level/lift kit or not. If you do not have the factory level/lift kit then you do not need these spacers.
You can fine tune the psi levels further using an onboard air compressor like the Firestone Air Command II - Analog Gauge w/ Heavy Duty Compressor # F2219. This onboard compressor has an electric, dual-gauge control panel that will mount on your dash and allow you to control the pressure in each bag separately to accommodate off-center/uneven loads.
