How Reduce Sway When Pulling Shamrock Forest River Camper WIth A 2022 Toyota Sienna
Question:
We have a brand new 2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid mini van that has a towing capacity of 3500. We had Toyota also put on the appropriate towing hitch. We bought a Shamrock Forest River camper that when fully loaded is just under the 3500 lbs. My daughters F150 truck pulled it without issue. We went to pull it with our van and it chugs and jerks so bad that we cant drive more than 20 km and it feels like its going to rip off the underside of our van or something. Ideas? Suggestions?

I would suggested investing into a weight distribution hitch. Even though you are under the towing capacity of your vehicle you will still experience sway and getting a weight distribution hitch will greatly reduce the chugs and jerks that you're experiencing.
The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 has a tongue weight capacity between 250 pounds to 600 pounds and with your camper being right under 3,500 pounds your tongue weight will be 10% of that so you will be right in the middle of the proper weight needed. I recommend this weight distribution hitch over other systems because The Fastway system has an integrated 2-point sway control that will limit your side-to-side movement and will ensure that your trailer stays in line with your tow vehicle. You're also allowed to back up using the weight distribution hitch.
