Availability of a Converter for US to European Wiring System
Question:
I need a converter to split the stop/turn signal into 2 different signals stop and turn separate. This application is to eliminate the US spec for tail lights in which the red light is used for both brake and turn signal and turn it to Europe spec in which brake stop is separate from turn lights which are yellow.

To convert from US to European wiring you will need the Vehicle to Vehicle Taillight Converter, item # 118158, which will convert the 2 wire system on a towing vehicle to a 3 wire system on a towed vehicle or trailer. You will run the taillight circuit normally and it is not required to run through the converter.
If you are installing the converter on a towed vehicle you will need to use Tail Light Isolating Diodes, item # 48955, to keep the towing vehicle from back feeding into the towed vehicles wiring.
