Why Would Flat Towed Vehicle Wheels Turn When Traveling
Question:
Complete Blue OX system, but Jeep steering turns front wheels hard left or right, as it desires, when vehicle is towed, slowly, just a couple of feet. Follow prescribed procedures for the Blue Ox tow bar, and towed vehicle. All indications are that it is the jeep itself. Should I try turning ignition off and removing the key since the steering lock mechanism ended with 2008 I believe. Also, what would happen if I remove fuse M37? Or, can I call and talk to someone. It is delaying our departure from recently sold home to become full timers... Thanks in advance.

The steering of your Wrangler does need to be unlocked for it to be flat towed but what it sounds like to me is that your tow bar is not sitting level enough which is causing the wheels to turn as the front of the vehicle is pulled downward.
What you'll need is a high low adapter which will allow the tow bar to sit level and prevent the problem you have. I attached a couple help articles on high low adapters for you to check out which will show you how to pick the exact adapter that would allow the tow bar to sit level.
